- "AEMMA does a
test cut". The interesting thing about this is their target, and
the construction of it, which is shown here.
- "The Arador Armour
Library". This is actually a site that contains several articles on
armour and armour making. Some of it is very good, you have to pick
through. For the beginning and intermediate armourer they are an
excellent resource!
- Blackistone, Bruce Edward and Jock Dempsey (2001) Swords
of Iron, Swords of Steel (Part I). Article about the construction
of swords through the ages.
- Friedman, David, The
Perfect Armour. An article on how to make authentic, Mediaeval
leather armour. (an
older version of this article - not authentic, period style, but
still functional).
- Johnsson, Peter, Oakeshott's
Typology: an introduction. "This is an attempt to introduce the
reader to Oakeshott's sword blade typology."
- Sword Forum, Primer on what a
well-made sword is
- Sword Forum, A bit on sword
sharpening
- Thing, Eric (2000) Making
a Norman Helm. This article shows the whole process on making a
Norman style helmet. Very informative and detailed. One of the better
instructional articles I've seen on the web, with a very nice finished
product.
